The different parts where all filmed during our daily work 2001-2002. We have tried to document our activities in a way to make it both understandable and entertaining.

NB movie has been screened at several locations over the years. Among others at The soap factory, Shame Festival, Galleri Lars Bohman, Filmform, Distro GBG, the IAE Portland and Galleri BOX.

Radioexperiment

During the last couple of years we have developed radioexperiments in different forms. We are for example using a small mobile station that we can actually carry in a bag. One technique that we have been concentrating on is sitespecific radio break-ins, which means that we are able to "take over" a certain frequency in a specific area.

This particular clip shows a nightly break-in tour at 7Eleven stores in Göteborg, Sweden. 7Eleven stores in Sweden are through a business deal with commercial radiostation RadioCity obliged to play only that specific channels music in their speakers. Not only do they play that stations music inside their stores 24/7, but they also have speakers facing outwards from the facade of the store, forcing anyone who just happens to be pleased with hanging around that area to listen.

Free Speech 2002

We continuously install notice boards in Stockholm city, Sweden in response to the political majority´s decision to prohibit posting of bills on any site apart from public notice boards. The boards put up by the counsil are few though. We have had the fortune to gain access to some larger amounts of reused materials that can easily be used for building boards. In this clip we show how we build and design the boards and how we install them on different locations in Stockholm, Sweden.

Graffitifixation

Our Graffitifixator is an invention consisting of a plastic container containing a two component transparent varnish that we apply on an existing wallpainting by spraying. The varnish is hardneing and protective which increases the pieces "survival time", making the painting virtually impossible to remove.

Nice music for trafficjams.......

In this clip you get to see why we have chosen radio as a forum for our artistic experiments. Radio has a spectacular strength in distributing different sound experiments. With a radio you, for one, can reach a much broader public, but most important is that you can present an audio piece without having to create a scenic performance. The performer and the listener are in direct contact, but the performer has often no concrete knowledge about the existence of the receiver.

The camera rides inside a car with a carstereo playing the music of a commercial radiostation. The guy that the camera is following outside of the car carries a bag with a radiotransmitter. As the car passes the transmission is cut and the music you then hear is an antistress piece that was specifically made for this ocassion.

Parkbeds

We want everyone to be able to take responsibility for any needs that they can identify in any environment. One example is our parkbed construction that supports both sitting and lying. The bed consists of a simple construction of reused wood covered with tarpaulin. It has been placed at different sites throughout the cities of Stockholm and Berlin, sites that are in lack of seatings and restingplaces.

Here you will see how we construct the bed and placed it in various sites in Stockholm. When you act on your own and without approval for your actions, problems might occur...

A gift

This is the new breed of mosaic. We make large mosaics out of small plaster vinyl squares, most commonly 15x15mm in size. We use a digital picture as original, making each pixels size correspond to the actual size of the plastic squares, i.e. 15x15mm. We then lay the picture in real size, putting each vinyl square on a tarpaulin streched out on a floor. When the picture is all done we transfer the vinyl pieces to a "transfer adhesiv tape" and are then able to paste it onto a wall or a window as a single piece, even though it consists of several thousand vinyl squares.

This was an anonymous gift to the recordshop Blenda and to all the strollers at Andra Långgatan, Göteborg, Sweden.

Hot Ass 1.0

Hot Ass is a piece of foam plastic that we glue onto parts of architecture not originally intended as seats but most definitly can server as such. By using a discreetly colored Hot Ass piece it is due to last longer. The material has also the quality of being both soft and warm.

This clip begins with a part inspired by arkitip. Check them out!
